The Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses recognized the critical care unit at East Jefferson General Hospital as one of the best intensive care units in the United States. The East Jefferson ICU was judged “an especially good solution for ICU design, meeting both functional and humanitarian needs while providing a supportive environment.”
